This is a chance to shadow BD Judge Liza McQuistan while she coaches two groups of riders, the riders will be working at Intro to Elementary level. The sessions are two hours long, 1pm-3pm or the Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. This is a excellent opportunity to watch an experienced coach/judge while she train riders of different levels. BD are happy for any upgrading judges to use this activity as an opportunity to complete their sign off activity regarding observing training.
Liza trains horses up to Grand Prix level and is a successful competitor and British Dressage Accredited Coach. She holds the UKCC Level 3 Dressage Specific qualification, is a List 4 BD Judge and approved BD Youth Assessor.

Jo’s educational background has taken her from a National Diploma in Horse Management at Warwickshire College to BSc (Hons) Equine Science at Hartpury University, MSc in Coaching Science to being awarded a Professional Doctorate in Sport and Exercise (PDSE) by University of Gloucestershire. Her other achievements include Eventing to intermediate level, Showjumping at Foxhunter and Dressage at Medium Level. Jo was awarded Fellowship of British Horse Society and is now eager to assist others in their journey through the BHS career pathways. Jo’s passion for horses means that she wants to encourage others to develop a successful relationship with their horse and succeed, whether that is through an equine career or as a leisure pursuit.
Jo is also a British Eventing Coach, British Dressage Judge and an Assessor for the British Horse Society. Jo currently divides her time between Consultancy and Education carried out at Hartpury University, which is one of the UK’s leading equine educational establishments and has a reputation of international excellence.
Jo will be teaching six groups during the day, an hour each. The three in the morning will be flat the three PM will be jumping. Watch how Jo coaches the different types of rider that a training camp brings. There will be time to discus what you are seeing and different area's to work on to develop both the horse and rider partnership.
There will only be one person with Jo on each day. Lunch is included.
